Subcast
Subcast is a web app for podcasters and video creators. Upload an episode and Subcast
transcribes it into a speaker-labelled, timecoded transcript and translates that transcript into the
languages you choose, in a single pass. You can then edit the result and export subtitles and transcript
files. You pay by the audio-hour with no subscription, and your audio is never used as training data.
What data Subcast asks for
If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with
Subcast. They are used for one thing: to create your account and recognise you when you return. Subcast
asks Google for nothing else — no Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or contacts — and never posts to your Google
account. Signing in with a one-time email code or a passkey shares nothing with Google. Files you upload
are processed only to produce the transcript, translations, and exports you asked for, and are deleted
automatically at the end of your retention window.
